The Wayne Eagles and Geneva Panthers both faced challenges on Tuesday night in Marcus Whitman and Mynderse respectively. Wayne pulled out to an early lead and never looked back against Whitman, moving to 7-0 on the season, with a 15 point win. Geneva, on the road at Mynderse, had to fend off multiple Blue Devil runs before closing out a 7 point win to move to 5-2. Both the Panthers and Eagles are now 2-0 and alone atop the Finger Lakes East standings ahead of their match-up on Thursday night in Geneva.
In West boys action, HAC held off Honeoye for a 2 point win and Red Jacket beat South Seneca to improve to 4-2 on the season and 4-0 in league. HAC moved to 6-1 and is also undefeated in FL West play at 3-0, just 1/2 game behind Red Jacket. The Wolves and Indians are schedule to meet head-to-head on March 1st at HAC.
In Finger Lakes East girls play the Waterloo Indians, Pal-Mac Red Raiders and Midlakes Screaming Eagles all won to keep pace in the standings. Mynderse picked up a key win and 6 sectional points in Geneva while evening their season record at 3-3.
