Gov. Cuomo’s approval rating takes a hit after nursing home revelation

Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s popularity has taken a hit since the revelations regarding his administration’s handling of the nursing home saga.

In a poll conducted from February 15-17 by Marist Poll, 60 percent of New Yorkers polled say that Cuomo did something wrong in handling nursing homes.

It’s been alleged that his administration withheld death data in nursing homes.

The poll found that his approval rating fell to 49 percent with more than 60 percent believing the Governor did something wrong in handling the entire process of releasing nursing home data.

Only 27 percent of respondents believe the Governor did nothing wrong.
