Cayuga County District Attorney Jon Budelmann isn’t the only person running for Cayuga County Surrogate Judge.
An Auburn-area attorney plans to also run for the seat, which comes open at the end of the year.
The Auburn Citizen reports that Manford Benjamin “Ben” Susman announced his candidacy after Democrats endorsed him on Monday.
The seat is currently held by Mark Fandrich, who said earlier this year that he would not seek re-election for another 10 year term.
“My years of experience working with real people on matters that affect their lives, careers and families has prepared me to serve our county with a high level of fairness and respect from the bench each and every day,” Susman said in a press release.
