Former Yankees outfielder Johnny Damon arrested for DUI in Florida

Former Yankees outfielder  was arrested for a DUI in Florida early Friday morning.

Damon was stopped by Windermere, Fla. police at 8:15 a.m. and arrested after appearing intoxicated and having a blood alcohol level above .20, according to police reports. The legal drinking limit is .08.

The 47-year-old was also booked on resisting arrest without violence, and was put in a holding cell at the police station.

Damon spent four seasons with the Yankees from 2006-2009, winning a World Series with the club in his final season in New York.

During his 18-year career, Damon also played for the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Detroit Tigers, Tampa Bay Rays, Cleveland Indians and most notably, the Boston Red Sox — where he won his first World Series title.
