Poll finds 47% of New Yorkers want to see new leadership

A recent Sienna College Poll found that 67% of New Yorkers approved of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s communication with the public during the pandemic.

That same poll found that 55% of voters aren’t satisfied with the way he has handled nursing home data.

A new poll has found that 47% of New Yorkers believe its time for new leadership. Utica-area pollster John Zogby polled over 800 likely voters about Gov. Cuomo’s re-election bid in 2022.

Just 41% believe he deserves a fourth term. Around 12% said they are unsure.

The news comes as federal investigators begin looking into the administration’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in nursing homes. The polls were conducted before that news was broken, though.
