The Ithaca Police Department says they are still following leads as part of an investigation into a shooting and motor vehicle crash that happened at the intersection of Cascadilla and Fifth streets.
It happened on Tuesday around 8:43 a.m.
They released a video to possibly assist the public with providing viable leads.

Police say that around 8:45 a.m. patrol and investigators responded to the area of Cascadilla and Fifth streets, as well as N. Meadow St. for a report of gunfire involving a vehicle in the city of Ithaca.
It was reported that one vehicle, possibly a Mercedes, as well as a second vehicle were involved in a crash on Cascadilla St. and Rt. 13 North.
When IPD arrived they learned that a gray colored Audi was traveling west on Cascadilla St., ran the red light at Rt. 13 North and struck a truck that was stopped for the same red light on the opposite side of the intersection.
The driver of the Audi fled the scene on foot and remains at large. The driver of the truck was injured and transported to Cayuga Medical Center. The other vehicle possibly a Mercedes was last seen in the area of Cascadilla and Fifth streets before fleeing the area. It is believed that that shooting took place in the area of the 500 block of Cascadilla St. At least one residence in that area was struck by gunfire.
Ithaca Police Officers and Investigators are following up on numerous leads and have secured evidence in this case. It is also believed that the occupants of both vehicles are known to each other.
The City of Ithaca Fire Department, Bangs Ambulance and the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene.
