Deputies: Newark woman charged with DWI after two-car crash in Macedon

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Newark woman following a two-car crash in the town of Macedon.

Deputies say Emily Yott was charged with DWI, driving with a BAC over 0.18%, and speeding.

Yott is said to have been traveling east on Wilkinson Rd. in Macedon when she failed to crest a knoll at a reasonable speed. It caused her vehicle to collide with another.

Upon further investigation it was determined that she was in an intoxicated condition. Yott submitted to a breath test, which revealed a BAC of 0.19%.

The charges will be answered at a later date in local court.
