Geneva man charged with felony contempt after domestic incident

The Geneva Police Department reports the arrest of a 38-year-old following a physical incident that occurred on January 31.

Police say Samuel Knapp, of Geneva was charged with harassment and criminal contempt. The contempt charge was a felony.

Knapp is accused of striking the chest of a person who was protected as part of a court order. Another person was struck, which resulted in the harassment charge.

Police described the investigation as a domestic incident.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
