A Marion man was taken into custody over the weekend after he choked a woman and threw her to the ground.
Deputies report the arrest of 29-year-old Michael Bauer, of Marion.
On Saturday deputies responded to an Arbor Rd. Residents after receiving a 911 call for family trouble. An investigation into the incident determined that Bauer was arguing with the victim and it turned physical.
During that incident – he threw the victim to the ground, choked her, and took her cell phone – preventing her from calling 911.
Bauer was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief, and harassment.
Bauer was transported to the Wayne County Jail for processing and arraignment.
