Don’t leave your pets outside in the cold.
That’s the message from officials at the Finger Lakes SPCA of Central New York. They have seen an increase in calls about pets being left outside in the cold.
Carol Russell of the SPCA says they take all calls seriously, but those during the winter are particularly unnerving.
“We respond to all of them, check out the situations, and work with dog owners to rectify,” she told Finger Lakes News Radio.
Her message for dog owners is no matter the breed – take your animal indoors when the temperature drops and snow falls.
