Now that the region has seen a few inches of snow, most of the precipitation will slowly dissipate. By morning, the snow will have stopped completely and the winter weather advisory that was in effect for the day today will have expired.
A few locations that see more persistent snow showers tonight could get another 1-2 inches of accumulation, but that will be about it.
The low temperature tonight will be around 28 degrees with a chance for some freezing drizzle or wintry mix at times.
Travel tonight continues to be difficult at times, as a mixture of snow, sleet and freezing drizzle this evening across WNY will change to all snow late this evening. All snow east of Rochester this evening will continue through tonight. https://t.co/0XbKOx8V5X pic.twitter.com/ElpfTPw0bC

The Thruway has nearly 700 operators and more than 400 pieces of snow fighting equipment battling the #snow statewide. Here, Verona Maintenance Section in #CNY makes another pass. If you're traveling this afternoon and evening, reduce speed and maintain a safe distance. ?❄️? pic.twitter.com/YZt1t0LeDc
