The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports that on January 17th deputies arrested Damian Koerner, 28, of Bath following an investigation into an inmate at the jail smuggling controlled substances into the facility.
It’s alleged that Damian Koerner, 28, was recently booked as an inmate at the jail, and smuggled several baggies of various pills into the facility inside his body. He then expelled them from his body while in quarantine under watch.
Koerner, a parole violator, was charged with promoting prison contraband, as a felony. He was also charged with tampering with evidence as a felony.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
