Clyde driver charged with DWI after traffic stop in Newark

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Clyde man following a traffic stop in the village of Newark.

It happened on Route 31 when deputies performed a traffic stop on January 17th around 11:40 p.m.

Lawrence Lee, 57, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation, no interlock device, unlicensed operator, and refusing a pre-screen.

The charges will be answered at a later date in local court.
