Three-quarters of New Yorkers say they have either been vaccinated, or plan to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
That’s the takeaway from a new poll released by Siena College.
The biggest subset of those who say won’t get the vaccinate come from a handful of groups, who identified as voters under 35, Latinos, Republicans, Independents, and African Americans.
“I think what this shows is New York, and America, have more to do in terms of educating the people about the vaccine and doing a campaign to encourage New Yorkers and Americans to get the vaccine,” Steven Greenberg said.
The news comes as many expect to see a federal shift in COVID-19 response as President Joe Biden takes office.
