The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on January 16th a little before 2 p.m. deputies responded to Dunham Road in Waterloo for a tree logging accident.
Todd Washburn, 52, of Waterloo was severely injured after a large tree fell on top of him. He was pinned to the ground, but several individuals there were able to free him.
Deputies said he was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital where he remains in stable condition. Mercy Flight transported Washburn, who suffered a severe leg and pelvis injury.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by New York State Police, North Seneca Ambulance, Junius Fire Department, Border City Fire Department, and Waterloo Fire Department.
