Bills fans raise money for Lamar Jackson’s favorite charity after Ravens QB exits with injury

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson exited the divisional round matchup against the Buffalo Bills on the final play of the third quarter.

A poor snap, something that hurt Baltimore throughout the evening, sent the Ravens back toward his own end zone. After recovering the ball, Jackson threw it away as Tremaine Edmunds was in the process of bringing him down to the turf. On his way down, veteran defensive tackle Trent Murphy came in on the sack attempt. The end result saw Jackson hit his head hard onto the turf.

Jackson would eventually be ruled out of action with a concussion.

Following the injury, the Bills Mafia wanted to do something for the Ravens’ quarterback. As they have done many times in the past, the fan base went the donation route. One fan on Reddit found that Jackson’s favorite charity was Blessings in a Backpack. He posted his donation and it has since taken off with many other fans sending money to the cause.

Blessings in a Backpack’s Louisville Chapter has received more than $150,000 from more than 5,500 Bills fans.

Buffalo defeated the Ravens 17-3 and will face the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game on Sunday night.
