Police: Burglary in progress leads to arrest in Seneca Falls

A Gowanda man was taken into custody after a burglary in process in Seneca Falls.

On Friday around 5:50 p.m. police arrested Joseph Laforme, 20, of Gowanda following the incident and investigation.


Police responded for the report of a burglary in progress. They say Laforme entered a residence through an exterior door where he was confronted by the homeowner.

Police say the homeowner didn’t know LaForme. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with second-degree trespass.

The charge will be answered at a later date.
