A church built in 1886 could be demolished this year in Auburn.
The City has applied to demolish the Wall Street Methodist Episcopal Church. It sits at the corner of Wall and Washington streets.
The Citizen reports that the City is pursuing demolition because the building has been deemed structurally unsound, which makes reuse difficult.
The application is expected to be reviewed in February. Then, the City could move forward.
