Who is included in Phase 1B, which is officially underway in New York?
Last week Governor Andrew Cuomo said that the state would open up new lanes for vaccination, as additional organizations and health departments were brought into the fold.
Specifically, new work areas would be included in the eligibility criteria. During his State of the State address, Cuomo said that the biggest issue facing New York at this time is the volume of vaccine that’s needed.
Simply put: New York needs a lot more.
However, vaccine rollout has been complicated, even as the state continues through the process of getting healthcare workers and nursing home staff and residents vaccinated.
