Gas prices on the rise in parts of New York, but not everywhere

Why are gas prices on the rise?

According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of gas went up six cents in the last week.

It hit $2.39 after sitting at $2.32 the week prior.

The Finger Lakes and Central New York saw some of the lowest prices in the state. The Southern Tier did as well.
