Congressman Joe Morelle says he wants to see the House do more for states and local communities as the pandemic continues.
He called for relief that would prevent cuts to essential community programs like education, law enforcement, and first responders.
“As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the need for state and local funding relief has only become more urgent,” said Rep. Morelle. “So many of the vital programs and social services that our families utilize on every day rely on this funding—and we cannot allow them to be jeopardized.”
So far, Congress has not acted on funding that would help local or state governments. But did enact funding that sent additional stimulus checks out to Americans.
