Mets sign infielder Brandon Drury to Minor-League deal

The Mets have signed infielder Brandon Drury to a Minor-League deal, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand. The 28-year-old debuted with the D-backs in 2015 and has since played for the Yankees and most recently, the Blue Jays. The club has not confirmed.

In 21 games for Toronto in 2020, Drury hit .152 with a .358 OPS. Drury was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays and then outrighted to the Minors in September, and in October, he elected free agency.

Drury primarily played third base in 2020, with some time at second base and shortstop as well. He has experience at each infield position, as well as left field and right field.
