Noyes Memorial Hospital in Livingston County suspends visitation amid rise in COVID cases

Noyes Memorial Hospital located in Livingston County is suspending inpatient visits effective New Years Eve.

UR Medicine, which operates the hospital, said the move comes amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in Livingston County.

Many other hospitals in the region, including those operated by Rochester Regional Health also suspended visitation as a precaution.

“All of us at Noyes hoped we would not have to suspend visitation again, but for the safety of our patients and our staff, it’s something we must do. We ask for your understanding, and for everyone’s safety, please continue to keep your distance and mask when outside your home,” Chief Nursing Office and Vice President of Patient Services Tammy West said.

Patients with cognitive or communication issues will be allowed one designated caregiver or support person.
