Renovations have begun in Wayne County.
First floor renovations are expected to start in early-2021 for the Department of Motor Vehicle and County Clerk’s offices.
The current Clerk’s space will be turned into DMV space. Meanwhile, the Clerk’s office will be moved to the DMV space.
“Right now we are out to bid,” Public Works Director Kevin Rooney told the Finger Lakes Times. “We expect bids back in a couple of weeks. It’s a sizable job. It’s a full renovation of the first floor.”
It will cost between $2 and $3 million for the renovations. The County has rented space from Old Village Properties for operation throughout 2021 and into 2022.
