First responders from around Seneca County came together to support the staff and residents at Huntington Nursing Home in Waterloo last week.
In a post to Facebook, the Waterloo Police Department reported that members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department, New York State Police, Seneca Falls Police Department, and fire departments from Waterloo, Seneca Falls, Magee, Canoga, Romulus and Border City came together to ‘light it up’ and show support to those local heroes.
Huntington Nursing Home, like many around the region and state, have been hard hit by the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Pizza, soda, water, and desserts were donated to staff members at the nursing home, as well as gift cards to Dunkin’ and Ciccinos.
“Our entire emergency service family wanted to show our appreciation for the dedication and sacrifices that the staff members of Huntington Nursing Home have made over the past few months and to light the sky in memory of the lives lost,” the Waterloo PD said in the Facebook Post. “Thank you to our heroes who are making a difference every day.”
