The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation of a two-car personal injury crash at the intersection of Freshour and Taylor roads in the town of Hopewell.
It happened on Sunday around 11 a.m.
Deputies say Ricky Rodas, 58, of Manchester was traveling west on Taylor Road when he failed to stop at the intersection with Freshour Road and continued through it.
Matthew Shannon, 42, of Shortsville was traveling south on Freshour when the two vehicles collided.
Rodas was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was admitted due to the extent of his injuries. Shannon was transported to Thompson Hospital for treatment.
The Hopewell Fire Department was on scene to assist. Freshour and Taylor roads were both shut down while personnel worked the scene.
Rodas was cited for failing to stop at the stop sign, and failing to yield the right of way. That will be returnable to local court at a later date.
