Canandaigua’s high school students are switching to remote learning for a few days.
“We are sending you an important message specific to the Academy (grades 9-12). Due to staffing issues resulting primarily from quarantines, and also some COVID positive cases specifically and recently at the Academy, we have made the decision to shift Canandaigua Academy to remote learning starting Friday, December 18, 2020, and continuing through Wednesday, December 23, 2020,” the district wrote in an update on Thursday.
They say in-person students will receive remote learning materials through Schoology and virtual classes will continue to follow their schedule. Officials anticipate that high school classes will resume on Monday, January 4th.
The district has used a hybrid model this fall.
