Two arrested on felony charges after pair of sex crime investigations in Geneva

The Geneva Police Department reports the arrest of two individuals in separate incidents after attempting to solicit minors into sexual activity.

On December 11th at 12:48 p.m. police arrested Michael Jones, 64, of Bloomfield. He was charged with attempted criminal sex act, as a Class E felony.

Hours later as part of a separate investigation, police arrested Rafael Diaz-Diaz, 57, of Geneva. He was also charged with attempted criminal sex act, as a Class E felony.

Both were released on an appearance ticket.

Police say that the two attempted to engage in sexual activity with a person less than 15-years-old. No other details about the two investigations was released.
