The Syracuse men’s basketball team (4-1) will square off against Northeastern (1-1) on Wednesday, December 16 in the Carrier Dome. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m.
Series Notes
- Syracuse and the Northeastern have faced off seven times, with the Orange winning every encounter.
- The teams last met in 2018, when the Orange defeated the Huskies, 72-49. Oshae Brissett notched a double-double (21 points, 14 rebounds) while then-freshman Buddy Boeheim scored 11 points off the bench.
Syracuse is coming off a 101-63 win in its ACC opener against Boston College last Saturday. It was the team’s first 100+ point effort since a Feb. 1, 2017 tilt at NC State that went into overtime. It was also the largest margin of victory over a conference opponent since the Orange joined the ACC for the 2013-14 season.
Northeastern started its 2020-21 season by splitting a home-and-home series against Massachusetts last weekend. The Minutemen took the first matchup in Amherst, 94-79, while the Huskies won in Boston, 78-75.
