The Syracuse women’s basketball program will not host Binghamton in the Carrier Dome on Sunday due to coronavirus concerns.
The game was canceled after the confirmation of a positive Covid-19 test result within the Binghamton program, according to a statement released Friday night by Syracuse.
The match-up was originally set for Sunday at 2 p.m. until the ACC Network picked up the game and the tip time changed to 6 p.m.
The announcement comes three days after a game between the Binghamton men’s basketball team and Canisius was postponed due to restrictions within Broome County that will not allow Binghamton University teams to travel to or play host to schools located within an “orange or red zone” in accordance with the New York State’s Cluster Action Initiative.
