Syracuse (4-1) jumped out to an early lead and never looked back an impressive shooting display led to a 101-63 route of Boston College (1-5) in the conference opener.
The offensive outburst included a program-record 16 3-pointers, all-five starters in double-figures and the team’s first 100+ point effort since Feb. 1, 2017 against NC State. It was also the largest margin of victory over a conference opponent since ‘Cuse joined the ACC for the 2013-14 season.
Alan Griffin led the way with 19 points, including a 6-of-9 effort from behind the arc. Joseph Girard III (17), Buddy Boeheim (17), Quincy Guerrier (14) and Marek Dolezaj (10) were the starters in double figures, while Kadary Richmond (12) reached double figures off the bench.

GAME PREVIEW:
Syracuse is back on the road for its ACC opener against Boston College on Saturday, Dec. 12. Tipoff at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill is set for 1 p.m.
The Orange (3-1) had their three-game winning streak snapped in a 79-69 setback at No. 21/22 Rutgers in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Tuesday. Junior Alan Griffin led Syracuse with 20 points, while Quincy Guerrier added 18 points. Marek Dolezaj finished with 14 points to give the ‘Cuse three double-digit scorers.
Boston College (1-4) enters Saturday’s game on a three-game losing streak. The Eagles lost at Minnesota, 85-80 in overtime, in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Tuesday.
Syracuse and Boston College are no strangers on the court as Saturday’s game is the 78th all-time meeting between the two schools. The Orange have won the past four contests against the Eagles, including an 84-71 victory in Conte Forum last March. Elijah Hughes led all scorers with 28 points, while Buddy Boeheim finished with 21 points.
