The Seneca County Health Department has reported three new COVID-19 deaths.
The announcement came in its update on Tuesday. Officials said that the deaths were linked to a COVID outbreak at one of the county’s nursing homes.
“Please keep their families in your thoughts at this extremely difficult time,” health officials said in the update.
They reported 13 new cases. Since November 1st there have been 313 new cases. Officials said 48 of those have been attributed to the current nursing home outbreak, which leaves 265 that are not connected to those facilities.
“Community spread is happening everywhere and it is important that our county take note of this to protect themselves and those around them that cannot protect themselves,” officials added.
There are now 98 active cases in Seneca County with 431 in quarantine. There are 11 people hospitalized and 9 total deaths.
