On Tuesday federal regulators released the first assessment of the scientific evaluation of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.
It confirmed strong protection, which sets the stage for the federal government to give it the green light.
It could be distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine is as little as a few days.
Independent advisors of the Food and Drug Administration will debate the merits of the data at a meeting on Thursday.
A final decision could come within days of that meeting. Other vaccines are expected to get the same treatment and be available by early-2021.
This comes as lawmakers introduced a bill in New York to require people to be vaccinated if enough for herd immunity to not take up the opportunity to get the shot.
