A letter from administrators at the Huntington Living Center in Waterloo shows that the facility has had its first COVID-19 related death.
A letter published by Finger Lakes News Radio shows that five additional staff members have tested positive for the virus. It brings the total number of cases there among staff to 16.
Four additional residents tested positive, bringing the total number there to 30 at the nursing home with COVID-19.
Huntington is operated by Finger Lakes Health.
There is another nursing home in Waterloo operated by Hurlbut Care Communities called Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation. It’s unclear how many cases that facility is seeing at this point.
