New York State Police in Farmington are asking for the public’s help finding a wrong-way driver.
On Sunday around 5:50 p.m. a trooper was traveling south on Route 332 near County Road 41 when they observed a vehicle traveling north in the southbound lanes.
The vehicle was coming at the trooper’s cruiser, which prompted the officer to maneuver to the left. They activated their emergency lights.
That’s when the wrong-way driver passed by and attempted a U-turn.
The trooper’s cruiser was struck by an oncoming vehicle. State police say no injuries were reported in that crash.
However, anyone with information about the driver is asked to call 585-398-4100.
