The Ontario County Planning Board has reviewed the site and architectural plans for the conversion of the former DeSales High School in Geneva into 15 apartments.
It’s not an uncommon move to see former schools, after they are done being used in that way, for housing.
Ontario County’s planners identified no issues that required clarification before moving the plan to the city’s Planning Board, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Massa Construction Inc. of Geneva bought the two-story school at 90 Pulteney St. from Our Lady of Peace Parish in 2018 for $380,000.
The school closed in 2014.
