A Canandaigua man faces a serious felony charge after trying to run over a bicyclist in the city on November 27th.
Police say Dana Derby, 46, of Canandaigua was arrested for attempted assault after officers responded to a disturbance on Chapin Street.
Following investigation it was determined that Derby used a vehicle to try and run over a person who was riding a bicycle.
The victim was able to exit the bicycle before Derby ran it over with his car.
Derby was turned over to the Ontario County Jail, according to police.
