Police: Search underway after shooting in Ithaca, no injuries reported

Police say that on Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. officers responded to a call for shots fired in the 600 block of Chestnut Street.

Police responded to the area and began searching for potential victims, witnesses, and evidence.

As of a press release during the mid-afternoon hours, officers had not located any victims.


However, police say they are currently looking for a 2006 Mazda 6 sedan. An unknown white male is believed to be armed with a handgun.
