Police say several people were stabbed and sent to regional hospitals after an incident in Ithaca.
On Friday at approximately 8:15 p.m. police were dispatched to the report of a physical dispute on North Cayuga Street. It was reported that multiple people were hitting a male who was on the ground, and that one of the individuals was armed with a baseball bat.
Police arrived on scene locating three injured person. The involved people all sustained various levels of injury and had also suffered stab wounds.
Investigation led to the discovery that one of the males involved had forced his way into a multi-dwelling building and was confronted by the occupants.
The three males were transported to regional trauma centers for treatment. None of the injuries are said to be life threatening.
The investigation remains active. The Ithaca Fire Department and Bangs Ambulance assisted at the scene.
