The Seneca County Sheriff’s office reports the arrest of a Rochester man following a traffic complaint along the Thruway, which led to an investigation.
Jesus Velez, 26, is accused of driving recklessly on the Thruway near Exit 41. After being located by deputies he was found to be under the influence of drugs.
Deputies said a weapon was also found inside the vehicle, along with Suboxone, and other drug paraphernalia.
He was charged with felony unlicensed operation, driving while ability impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a weapon.
He was held on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond, according to deputies.
The original arrest took place on October 16th. He was then charged five days later with three additional counts connected to the possession of drug paraphernalia.
All of the charges will be answered in Tyre Town Court.
