Seneca Falls man violated court order from jail, arrested on felony counts of aggravated family offense

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on November 12th investigators arrested an inmate after it was reported by staff that the they attempted to make contact with a female whom he’s prevented from contacting due to court order.

The investigation revealed that Damon D Steele, 22 of Seneca Falls wrote two letters and attempted to send them via mail to a female whom he is not allowed to be contacting per a court order of protection.


The letters were intercepted by Corrections Officers in the outgoing mail. As a result of the investigation Steele was charged with two counted of attempted criminal contempt and two counts of aggravated family offense, which are felonies.

Steele was issued an appearance ticket.
