Like a lot of communities, the Victor Central School District is dealing with an uptick in total cases of COVID-19.
The school district has 53 at the moment, and local officials are saying that Halloween parties likely played a big role.
“Where it’s coming from is I think some parties that probably should not have taken place or at least maybe the protocols were not followed,” Victor Mayor Gary Hadden told News10NBC on Wednesday.
Parents tell them that the district is doing a good job with COVID-19 mitigation efforts. There have been cases in schools, but parents and community seem happy with the way the district is handling it.
“The efforts they have made administratively to cover every base they can possibly cover have been extraordinary,” Hadden added in his conversation with News10NBC.
