Ring is recalling about 350,000 video doorbells after finding out that batteries can overheat and cause fires.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday the recall involves the Ring Video Doorbell 2nd Generation, model number 5UM5E5.
It all hinges on the type of screws that were used in the devices, which apparently enhance the risk for fire.
There have been reports of 85 incidents where incorrect doorbell screws were installed, and 23 of those doorbells ended up igniting.
Eight people have suffered minor injuries as result of the fires.
