Syracuse women’s hoops has 4 of the top 100 players in the Class of 2021, per ESPN

Syracuse women’s basketball currently has verbal commitments from four of the top 100 players in the Class of 2021, according to ESPN’s rankings.

Those verbal agreements could be official as soon as Wednesday since it’s the first day of the early signing period for boys and girls high school basketball recruits.

Players are eligible to sign their national letter of intent from now until Nov. 18. After that, recruits will have to wait until the regular signing period from April 14 – May 19, 2021.

The Orange will receive a pair of signings Wednesday night from four-star teammates Latasha Lattimore and Shayeann Day-Wilson from Crestwood Secondary in Peterborough, Ontario.

Lattimore is a 6-foot-4 forward who is ranked No. 38 overall in the 2021 class. The 5-foot-5 Day-Wilson is considered Canada’s top point guard, ranked No. 41 in the United States and No. 9 at her position.
Day-Wilson averaged 13.2 points, 5.1 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game last season, while Lattimore compiled averages of 17.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and two blocks per contest.
