Deputies say a 30-year-old Penn Yan woman was arrested on several charges after a welfare fraud investigation.
Holly Sabins, 30, of Penn Yan is accused of failing to report household income accurate, which led to an overpayment of benefits.
Deputies said more than $3,000 was received illegally.
She was charged with two counts of offering a false instrument for filing, as well as welfare fraud and grand larceny.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
