Four people were injured and two people are facing charges after a crash involving a tractor-trailer and stolen vehicle in Steuben County.
It happened in the town of Avoca on Route 390 South around 4 a.m. on Tuesday.
The car involved was hit from behind – but had also been reported stolen in the New York City area on Friday.
Johario Lamarche, 28, of the Bronx was operating the vehicle, according to state police. He’s now facing charges of criminal possession of stolen property, felony driving while intoxicated, vehicular assault, and aggravated unlicensed operation.
Meanwhile, Geraldo Torres, 29, of the Bronx was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, according to the release.
All four people inside the car were sent to a nearby hospital. One of them remains in critical condition.
No charges were filed against the driver of the tractor-trailer.
