A stolen handgun that hasn’t been seen since May 2019 was found during an investigation in the town of Manchester.
Deputies say Robert Sapp, 31, of Manchester was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The charges stem from an incident where he was found to be in possession of a 19mm handgun that was reported stolen from Lyons in 2019.
Deputies were assisted New York State Parole with an investigation when the firearm was located.
Sapp was taken into custody and will answer the charges at a later date.
