Two hospitalized after vehicle goes airborne in violent Wayne County crash

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation of a personal injury rollover crash on Blue Cut Road in the town of Arcadia.

It happened on Friday around 11:30 a.m.

A vehicle being driven by 19-year-old Christian Curia, of Port Gibson was northbound on Blue Cut Road when he lost control after a curve – nearly striking another motorist.


The vehicle then went off the road, struck an embankment, became airborne, then struck several trees – coming to rest on its roof in the roadway.

Curia and a passenger, identified as 20-year-old Dylan Cadden, of Newark, were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

He was issued tickets for reckless driving, unsafe speed, and unlicensed operation.

Newark and Marbletown Fire Rescue, Newark and Lyons Ambulance and Wayne County ALS, assisted the Sheriff’s Office on the scene.
