Search trends show more New Yorkers want to leave state

If people aren’t outright leaving New York – they are at least thinking about it more.

A new report from Redfin.com, a real estate brokerage site, shows that New York only trails California in the ‘residents looking to leave’ category.

This data point is found by looking at website users search trends. New York only trails California in total number of searches by those looking to leave the state they current reside in.

Elected officials in Albany have called on changes to help ease this trend. Especially amid the Coronavirus Pandemic.
