The Mets ace will look to become the first to win it three times in a row since Randy Johnson won it four years straight from 1999-2002.
Trevor Bauer of the Cincinnati Reds and Yu Darvish of the Chicago Cubs were named the other two finalists for the award as well.
deGrom made 12 starts for the Mets in the pandemic-shortened season, going 4-2 with a 2.38 ERA and 104 strikeouts.
Bauer made one less start than deGrom, but had a 5-4 record to go with his 1.73 ERA and 100 strikeouts. Darvish went 8-3 with a 2.01 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 12 starts.
The winner will be announced on Nov. 11 at 6 p.m.
